Re: Interesting casting Lets not start Torchwood bashing before it's started. Nearly every show has a tough time finding its feet. I hope RTD and co have listened to what the fans comments about season 1 have been and I am sure that season 2 will be much improved. Give it another chance!

As for "Big Name Stars", I'm not sure who you mean! ![]() I've a thought though - which Hollywood/ bigger name actors would you replace the present cast with? Here are my suggestions to begin... Gwen - Jennifer Lopez Jack - Tom Cruise Ianto - Sean Bean Toshiko - Tia Carrere Owen - Ethan Hawke | |

Re: Interesting casting LOL! Is J-Lo annoying enough to do Gwen justice? Could we get someone nice in to play Rhys, if we continue with gratuitous bum-shots? I shall amend 'big name stars' to 'not relative unknowns and John Barrowman', as well.

Re: Interesting casting Well, quite frankly I didnt have a big problem with most of the series. I am quite amazed at the dislike being shown on this board. I dont think this is scraping the bottom of the barrel as it was he who aproached the Doctor Who team. So unless he is scraping the bottom of the barrel... ![]() Lets hope that they give him a good part to play, his interaction with the other cast might help the show a bit, and it is fair to say that this is its first season, in my view mistakes were made, lets hope they learn from them. I felt that most of Torchwood was good, let down by a few lazily scripted and perhaps badly directed episodes.

Re: Interesting casting Thank you Ice Fyre! Someone who actually liked Torchwood. In my opinion it is a series with lots of potential. I agree with your comments and would like to add one - NO SEX GIMMICKS! If it is integral to the storyline then fair enough, but don't litter the episodes with unnecessary rubbish! I am (so as to maintain the thread topic) very keen to see how said actors will perform in the new series and personally - I quite like Alan Dale (in Trek, Lost, 24, Ugly Betty etc) and I think he will do rather well!
