RIP Peter Tuddenham

I just found out about it today. Actor and voice artiste Peter Tuddenham has died at the age of 88 after a short illness.

His vocal talents were used in Doctor Who for The Ark in Space, The Masque of Mandragora and Time and the Rani, but he will also be well-known to cult TV fans for providing the voices of Zen, Orac and Slave in Blake's 7, which was created by Terry Nation.

In addition, Tuddenham was in the Kaldor City audio spin-offs Occam's Razor and Death's Head, which were Doctor Who/Blake's 7 crossovers produced by Magic Bullet.

He will be very much missed. RIP

Re: RIP Peter Tuddenham

Thats a bit sad Whitstar, I loved Zen and even Orac. Slave didnt do a lot for me.
I know Paul Darrow joked in his "Your him arn't you" that Peter Tuddenham was pulling down two wages because he played two different characters and nor did he have to worry about makeup and costumes but could turn up in his old gear. He didnt have to learn lines, he was allowed read from a script.
When they killed of Zen in the demise of the Liberator he joked that Tuddenham would have to take a pay cut, then they gave him another character.
A character not seen but his presence felt....

Yes, I know the voice, but I don't recognise his face.

Yup, I still remember Zen's Last words as the "Liberator," died;

"I have failed you."
Let's just say he was wrong on that one.
Requiescat in Pacem.
