Re: Stephen King Trivia Quiz! (Please see first post) Well, as I said in the first post, it would be better if people waited until the answer was confirmed by the person who posted the question. Although it might slow the quiz down slightly, a few rules are needed in order to keep the quiz from getting out of hand -- which has happened before -- and it would be nice to keep the quiz going for the enjoyment of the people participating. ![]() As to the question -- I have an 1990 uncut version of the book and in it the candy bars are Paydays. I don't know what the original bars were, alas.

Re: Stephen King Trivia Quiz! (Please see first post) oops sorry I was just so anxious to play ![]() in the original The Stand published in 1978, what is Harold Lauder's favorite candy bar (the wrappers of which leave a trail of sorts for Stu Redman and Frannis Goldsmith to follow)? for bonus points, when the paperback version was published, King changed the candy bar to what? Hoopy yes it was the Payday in the original and in the later versions. however, if my memory serves, in the first paperback version (probably put out in late 78 or early 79, King changed the candy bar to the Milky Way... also it wasn't Stu and Frannie that followed the wrapper trail but rather Larry Underwood, Nadine Cross and the boy Joe). your go Hoopy

Re: Stephen King Trivia Quiz! (Please see first post) Quite all right. It's good to see more people getting involved in the quiz! Yes, I was going to mention that it was Larry, Nadine et al who followed the wrappers in my edition of the book. And now that you mention it...I seem to vaguely recall hearing something about Milky Ways. Or perhaps I'm just deluding myself that I had ![]() Ah, thanks Kcs! ![]() (Will edit shortly when I think of a question! )

Re: Stephen King Trivia Quiz! (Please see first post) Right...question...OK...Hmmm... All righ'y then. Name/describe three things that came out of the Buick in From a Buick 8. (brief descriptions will suffice; as we know, some pretty weird things came out of that car )

Re: Stephen King Trivia Quiz! (Please see first post) No one have answer for this? Hmm, I didn't think it would be too difficult. I guess From a Buick 8 isn't one of his more popular novels, but for those who have read it, I'd've though that the things that came out of the Buick were pretty memorable ![]() I'll give it a while longer, see if anyone gets it...unless people want me to ask a different one? ![]()
