I know what you mean. This is the first time I've seen a HP movie after reading the book first, so a lot of the suspense was dampened. I had the same problem in reverse while reading the first four books. OOTP was the first book where I could really admire Rowling's knack for suspense, because I didn't know what was coming.

As for Kreacher, I heard that he was added at Rowling's request, because he will be important in the last book.

I had heard the same about Kreacher - and given how little he matters in Prince, it had to be Hallows. There were several other things I thought she might have wanted instead (like the locket) but if she wanted Kreacher, given that his main part in the deception at the end is removed, it really must be so we know who he is for the last film.

Yes if she got Kretcher put in why didn't she get the locket, maybe the mirrors (I don't think that theory is any good) and other stuff. It could mean that everything is redundant.

Nope I didn't miss it at all...

If you didn't miss the inner struggle, then what was the issue? The scene wasn't just designed to revolve around Sirius. He's dead and that ended that. Harry was left and it was about what he intended on doing about Sirius's death that the main point was about, not the actual death. Or did you want to see more of Sirius death? More agony or pain?

And please... no YELLING. It hurts my ears!

I thought Sirius died very slowly. Avada Kedava (sp?) is meant to be instantaneous.

i wanted more of a point to his death and not harry's seeking out for revenge crap..cmon he was zapped then harry fcuked off sumwher to fail a spell...after that chapter in the book i was dumbfounded for upto an hour afterwards, it made me stop reading for that long ino...sum powerful shaite...in the film it was like this

bella:avarda kedavra (she used expeliamous [??] in the book)
[flash of green light..siruis looks at harry even though death was meant to be instantaneous and whoosh he was gone]
a SINGULAR second passes and wham harry has tried to punish bella

all of that took about 15 seconds

An enjoyable movie, but didn't think it great. (I'm still bitching to myself about no Peeves.)

Wish the Tooks character and the other members of the Order were developed in more depth ... as well as the villainous potential of Malfoy and Kreatcher. I would have liked maybe 10-15 minutes more in the movie.

One more thing. I agree that you have to have read the books to understand the movie. My old man, who does not read fantasy unless its scholarly, got lost this time around while he understood and enjoyed the previous movies.
