Can someone please explain the Korn thing to me? I don't know that I've ever heard their music, for all of the fact that they are almost local, having started out in Bakersfield, which is nearly local, being only about an hour and a half down the road from here.

In other words, is this a band that I should acquaint myself with?

yes it is. local? I'm from Belgium, they're world reknown, for all I care they have a bigger status than slipknot and all their deviants.

It's Nu metal; which means it's metal, but not classic metal such as Children of Bodom.
Go to WWW.KoRn.com to hear "twisted transistor" ( though that's quite soft, not there best song) I could go on for hours about koRn.
