| Destroyer of Words | Re: Now Playing... Anthology II - listened to #III last night and steeling myself for #I. I'd read that most people would only listen to 'em once and I can see why. On the other mitt, I'm enjoying hearing un-reduced lyrics clearly for the first time |

| Thar! That Blows. | Re: Now Playing... No longer playing, fortunately. Raze a forest and put up a parking lot (Whatever) -- Joni Mitchell One of the sirius channels was running an Earth Day theme, Sunday. This was a live version with lots of extra vocal slides, cadenzas, whoopdee doos, greppettos, trills and shrieks. Like Fingernails on a chalkboard cringe. Ye Gawds, what a guy used have to fake liking, back in the day, to get in with a girl. I don't know how I withstood the horror. I'm traumatized. Again. In related news, there's a recent Bachman, Turner concert on one of the HD concert channels. Surprisingly, that Turner guy is a pretty hot Bass player. Further surprise to me was that Bachman came from The Guess Who. There's hope. Paul Schaffer sits in for some rousing honky-tonk piano backup. Upon extensive analysis, the GF and I agreed: We'd rather have a BLT than more BTO. |
