Our Uni gets some outrageously good gigs. had Coldplay, Noah and the Whale and The Darkness last semester. got Ben Howard and Mastodon lined up for February. And other stuff that interests me not at all.

The B-52's - The B-52's - "52 Girls"

The stick-in-the-headiest album of all time. Amidst the zillion things I heard yesterday, "6060-842" was the one thing stuck in my head all day and which I still had there when I woke up. And, after this and that, this song rolls around and it always sticks.

If all you know is the more plainly poppier later hits or you don't know 'em at all, check out the original lo-fi so-weird-and-retro/futuristic-its-a-kind-of-punk first album. "Planet Claire", "Rock Lobster", "There's a Moon in the Sky (Called the Moon)" - these'll blow you away. And "Lava" and "Hero Worship" will, too, differently.

Album's a solid masterpiece.

Love and Rockets - Sweet F.A. - "Sweet Lover Hangover"

L&R Mk.II was nowhere near what Mk.I was, but still had its moments - though mostly on this album.
