Re: Now Playing...

Nikki and the Corvettes - Nikki and the Corvettes - "Just What I Need"

I usually play albums but am on a massive random shuffle with almost everything dumped in. I've had the Clash, Type O Negative, Death Angel, Cowboy Junkies, Mazzy Star, Clan of Xymox, Pantera, the Doors - and now it's gone from Nikki to Slayer. Next should be Metallica's (Musical) "Whiplash".

Nope. Berlin's "Masquerade". Nikki, Slayer, Berlin - I love it.

Just rediscovered Motorcycle Emptiness by the Manic Street Preachers. Can't believe I haven't played it for about five years. Is this not, honestly, the best track ever?

It's one of their best, for sure. Amazing to think that JDB wrote that when he was 17... I love the Manics and have done for ages, they're one of the most consistently high-achieving bands around. And JDB's solo album The Great Western is utterly wonderful too!

Re: Now Playing...

Coincidentally, SP (given your post a few up from this one) Beth Orton's Beautiful World came up on my random playlist as I was reading this thread. Lovely song. I'd been trying to find it for years, since it was used as the theme to a TV series, Nature Boy, about ten years ago, and only got hold of it as a download recently.
