A home made cd a friend burned for me the other day, remarkable for two fantastic songs I tend to play over and over: The Perry Mason Theme (A nice longish version; actually there are three: one which sounds like the original series, one which sounds like the later series when Perry had a beard, and one which sounds like it was recorded by Ray Conniff or some such. Still sounds good, though.) The Men From Shiloh Theme ( the extremely underrated and almost forgotten masterpiece composed by Ennio Morricone when NBC revamped The Virginian in the wake of Sergio Leone's Man With No Name films.) |
