Re: Now Playing...

Yeah, I have lots of writing planned. Renaissance notes and two creative writing assignments, plus a few things planned of my own.

Damn my procrastination...

Re: Now Playing...

Nay, nay. Cherish thy procrastinatory habits. The alternative's work, and that's just no fun at all...

I've still got serious editing work to do on First Person Shooter, plus planning work to do before Nanowrimo starts on Nov 1. Should keep me busy.

Re: Now Playing...

Can't argue with that. 50k in a month is a bad idea at the best of times, but I'm soooooooo unprepared this year.

Re: Now Playing...

Occasionally very trying. But I would recommend giving it a go one year, Hoops. If nothing else, it's a really good way of learning a bit of discipline (not that I'm suggesting you need any such thing, of course...).

Re: Now Playing...

Once I manage to find a November when I haven't got a degree getting in the way, I might give it a go. I've been saying ever since I found out about it that I would eventually.

*Looks around him for the aforementioned horse*

Oh! You mean me?

Yeah, trying to do an additional 50k when you've got essays (and a dissertation) to do probably isn't such a good idea. Mind you, it's not easy when you're working 9 to 5, either.

Re: Now Playing...

Yes, you with the mane!

Bah, a job is a small fry compared to juggling a degree But when you write your bestseller during November, you won't even need a job anymore. And remember who your friends are when you're rich and famous, especially that delightful one that gave you lots of encouragement and called you a horse...

Re: Now Playing...

LOL. Actually, given that I haven't had a haircut since...well, a while...I am starting to sport something of a mane. And it's curly. How'd that happen?

Ah, and if I'd only had a quid every time someone mentioned writing a bestseller. I've done four nanos now, written two-and-a-lot complete novels in that time...and got, er, one or two rejections. Le sigh.

Re: Now Playing...

Curly. Oh yeah, I'm sure it's so curly. You've seen my hair. That's curly!

Ah, it'll happen, it'll happen. When I'm a well-know publisher (one of my many careers I shall have, as well as Director, scriptwriter, and author) I'll publish it all for you!

Re: Now Playing...

Well, yeah. But yours is curly from the root; mine's a bit wavy, and then starts getting these odd ringlet-type things when it reaches the nape of my neck. Most peculiar.

Ah. So that's where my career went. You dragons. Always hoarding.

Re: Now Playing...

It is not curly from the root! Well, it didn't use to be. I think I must've had some kind of horrific curling accident when I was about thirteen.

And aw, ringlets. That's adorable.

And what can I say, it's what we do best.

Er. Yes. Cute. *Goes to find a pair of scissors.*

Actually, it doesn't look too bad, particularly with the beard - which has returned, as I suspected it would.

Anyway, must dash. Haven't eaten yet, and my stomach is about to implode. Catch you later.
