Question Lets discuss May

now mind you, not the month, as that would be very tiresome.

The May I am speaking of has black hair and an all around deadsy appearance about her, quite sexy if you ask me.

Has anyone seen this movie "May", if so how did you like it and how deep/disturbing was it?

Re: Lets discuss May

Yes, I did see the film -- though it was when it was first released on DVD. Mmmm.... mixed feelings on this one. Good production, some very good performances, and some good ideas; but I found it a very unpleasant film... not in the sense of dealing with unpleasant things, but in the way the film left me feeling. The only other film(s) I can think of that leave me with this particular feeling are the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Last House on the Left... feel like I need to take a long shower with lye soap and a wire scrub brush afterward.... Not often a film leaves me with that sort of impression, by any means; the feeling that I've been somehow soiled in watching it.

Oddly, that is not necessarily an insult; if that was the feeling the filmmaker was going for, then he definitely succeeded. At all events, there are things that are very good about the film (such as Angela Bettis' performance, which is really quite remarkable)... it's just one I won't be watching again any time soon.....

Re: Lets discuss May

It's been awhile since I've seen it. I thought it was a good horror film, and I thought it was touching in a macabre way at the end.
