Re: December Sugestions

Indeed we are!

I think Dwndrgn has a few things on her hands in RL just now, so I trust she won't mind if we start making suggestions for the month in her absence, at least.

How about something light this month? Anything at all by Terry Pratchett would be my suggestion.

Re: December Sugestions

Yes, sorry guys. Been terribly busy lately. Thanks for starting the thread for me. I think a light easy read would suit the busyness of December well. I'll suggest one of Spider Robinson's Callahan series since JP already gave Pratchett.

If we do Pratchett, can I suggest The Wee Free Men? Seeing as how I just checked it out from the library?

Hogfather would be more in the spirit.
But I wouldn't mind some little blue boys too.

Re: December Sugestions

If we're going to do Pratchett, I'd suggest one of the earlier ones like Mort or something like that.

Hmm... long or short book, less time because of Christmas or more time because of break... lol. I like the suggestion of the Hogfather though!

Wait, I just realized, can anyone just read the book for the month and belong to the Book Club or is there something else I should do?

You have to stip to your zebra skin clout, pain yourself purple and make snowangles in a pile of salt that has been trampled by a pre menstral rhino. Then we make you stand on your head and recite the Balcony Scene from Romeo and Julliet while chewing the sap of a bayobab tree! All the while we will stand in judgement singing abba hits backwards

Wanna Hagga Loogo

BTWI'd quite happily go with Pratchett, hog father, or one of the witches books. Or possibly in the spirit of lighthearted fun, maybe the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy? since i'm gonna re-read it anyway?

LOL! You're evil, Princess! But of course, quite correct.

Since I can't think of anything better than the suggestions already posted, I'll just wait for the voting round.

Re: December Sugestions

Hogfather sounds good to me then, esp since young Silk can't get a hold of anything else in time.

Re: December Sugestions

So are we all going to agree on Hogfather? That way we don't have to take the time for a vote we can just skip it this month.

So - procure your copy and enjoy!
