WorldCon 2007 , Japan WorldCon 2007 Kicks off in just over 2 months time in Yokohama, Japan. I'm already a paid up attending member who has the good fortune to be voting for this year's Hugo awards. I've also booked in for a few additional events like the Dinner Cruise with the Hugo award winners and am greatly looking forward to this trip. Is anyone else attending this event? I plan to log on each day of the Con and write the major events/happenings, kind of like a daily diary if that sounds at all exciting.... ![]() Cheers...

Re: WorldCon 2007 , Japan Yep, I'll be there! Lucky enough to have a book out in Japanese to tie in with the Con (redRobe renamed for Japan, Samsara Junction!) No idea what the text says but the cover looks cool... I'll be reading your blog to find out what's happening. Most of the time at cons I haven't a clue<g>

Re: WorldCon 2007 , Japan Congrats on the Japanese translation of redRobe, Jon. Now, when you tell me you can read it in the Japanese, then I'll really be impressed! ![]() Look forward to the updates, Gollum. I shall read them with envy.

Re: WorldCon 2007 , Japan Have fun in Tokyo and you can give me a rundown while we go around KL ... though I suspect the going around will be curtailed since you'll be very close to a huge Borders store.

Re: WorldCon 2007 , Japan The pacific is pretty close to the venue if memory serves. I'm staying at the Washington, which is approx 10 minute walk from the convention center. We should get together at some stage during the convention. I'll PM you closer to the date if that's OK? Have you been reading the Hugo nominees?? I've finished reading all short stories, novelettes and am now completing the novella section. I've already read 2 of the nominated novels. I've got to the end of this month to read the final 3 novels and cast my votes. As far as touring goes I'm arriving 5 days before the convention begins, and like you taking in the sights... ![]()
