| Re: The chronicles word counter! Novel: How Pain is Just Pt. 1 Genre: Post Apocalyptic Word Count: 55,857 Intended Length: 100,000, 150k at most Status: It's been really slow but I've picked it back up and added about 6k in the last few days. This is just one part of four that will fit into one huge book. I'm aiming to make it no more than 100k but the storyline is pretty expansive. Fingers crossed to finish this part before February. 'Tis my goal, you see. If I actually get into like I have with other books (I once wrote 15k in one very long day) then I see myself finishing it in the first couple weeks of January. So expect to see the word count reset and that little one up there turn to a 2 pretty soon. P.S. You know if you've been writing a lot when you press ctrl+s at the end of your post. |

Actually, no..... it was a comedian from many years ago, and I was very small (honest) but his catch phrase was this, with a heavy emphasis on the 'you', which comes over better as 'yew'...... Arthur Askey, if my (poor) memory serves me correctly! | |

| Destroyer of Words | Re: The chronicles word counter! No thread-killer, you. We're just still in awe of your progress ![]() And you're right, it was Arthur Askey, one of the country's earliest "best-loved" comedians. It was a sort of pseudo-posh "Ay thenk yew" he used to do and it doesn't come across so well in print. And with that, I've just added 60 more words to my daily count |
