| My sister's movie idea MOON PIZZA All material is copyright Shane P. Nielsen and Jenny L. Nielsen of Funworld Productions. By the makers of Plinky's Adventure, and Legacy of the Sploot Kingdom. Tagline: “Some people say the moon is made of cheese, but that’s just the topping…” “If you’re not going to the moon this summer, then one thing’s for certain, you’re probably gonna be mooned!” PLOT: In 2150’s Cratertown, 18 year old Bettie starts a local pizza parlor in an effort to prove to her father that a life on the moon without an Earthling university education can be productive. Bettie’s place is the first pizza joint on the moon (although there is already a thriving McDonalds). Bettie has a friend named “Dicky” who is halfway through college who is getting involved in a sort of New Manhattan Project back on Earth. The new weapons are going to be moved to the moon by the United States, but only Dicky and a few rovers on the moon know this. The moon is old fashioned and 1950s style. The moonsters are developing an independent frontier spirit, whereas Earth is going space age fast. On Earth, the president is a woman and the United States, Canada, and Mexico are one country. The “Man in the Moon” himself is the mayor of the moon, Tom Aberly (or whatever his name is). The moon mayor moved to the moon when he was about 20 and he is now around 60. Shane insists that he has a beard. The moon town Mooneapolis or Cratertown or Crater City or whatever it’s called is a territory of the United States. The moon town doesn’t cover all of the moon, just part of it, and people actually do go roving out on the uncovered surface portions of the moon on rovers and in space suits, although this is expensive so they don’t do it too much. It’s mainly rich families and rebels who engage in the sport, and the rich do it in planned runs that are safe. The rovers have figured out that there is a weapons base on the moon that the moonsters have not been told about, but nobody believes the conspiracy theorist wacko radical rovers. The rover rebels are the most independent minded of the moonsters. They think that the moon should break off political affilation with the US. Dicky was actually one of the original rovers. Around age 15 he smuggled oxygen out of the main dome of the moon city so that the first Oxygen/Fuel station could be started. Dicky was “reformed” and was sent to college on Earth, and that’s where he is when the movie’s plot starts going. But Dicky knows that there is a weapons base On the “weather” report, the weather man explains about how much light they’re going to get “It’s gibbous week, so it’s light all week, and then bla bla bla, gotta keep your lights on for the dark moon on bla bla bla” The moon town is built in an area that gets light most of the time.“We’re going to have a meteor shower on Thursday with a chance of space junk” There are dogs, cats, birds and other domestic animals and a small zoo with Earth creatures. There are also cows, as there has to be cheese for the pizza. Some food is shipped in from earth, although lately the moon people are getting more self sufficient. For example, the cows are fairly new. The Rovers know about moon animals, and have moon animals as pets. There is an alien base on the moon already. This movie will appeal to both liberals and conservatives because of the antiwar, proenvironemtnal message along with the revolutionary new conservative, rugged “America” on the moon that is becoming independent spirited. There is some kind of war brewing that the Moon people are in the dark about, due to their filtered media. The war either involves a Chinese base on Mars, or extraterrestrials, or all of the above. |
