synopsis contest

My fellow SFF writers!

Besides this board, I'm also a member of writing forums. I've learned of a contest that may interest some people here. It's being put on by yafiction.com and being judged by Maya Rock of Writer's House. However, it's not specific to SFF but rather young adult and middle grade, but in all genres of those groups, including SFF. I wanted to share this in case anyone may be interested in getting some professional feedback. You don't win money or representation, but the winner will have the opportunity for feedback on their synopsis and first chapter. It's a bit impromptu, but worth checking out.

I found out some details--it's not judged by Maya Rock but the winner will be reviewed by her. Also, it is only open to members of yafiction.com and there are requirements for membership--submit a writing sample for approval. But it's a nice group and worth trying for membership if one writes YA/MG fiction. The owner of the site set it up to help the careers of its members.
