Then I remembered I'd lost it on purpose, and assumed it was just another corollary to Murphy's law. (You always find something that's been missing, but you don't need, when you're looking for something you do need.)

TPBM Has a web cam pointed at their trash can because they are sure the men in black are filtering their garbage to find evedence.

Actually, don't need the web-cam now ... I have all the evidence I need ... and, coincidentally, so, it seems, do they ...

TPBM has changed something fundamental about themselves and is amazed at the difference it's making.
