Re: Patient Bleeds Dark Green Blood

Very interesting. I've run into reference to this condition before, but not to any cases of it. Thanks for bringing that one in....

I heard about this on the news earlier. Never would've thought it could happen, though.

Ok I think they made a mistake i his age. The man was born in 1931. When did this event actually occur?

I think he is Bolian - no antennae! (but he should loose that hair.)

Seriously, drinking Silver cannot be good for you. If it is building up in your body to an extent that you have a skin colour change, then, at the very least, it must be damaging your Liver. I would expect the same would be true for the sulfhaemoglobinaemia - surely if your blood is green then there has got to be some side-effects?

Re: Patient Bleeds Dark Green Blood

Crazy. The closest I came to that was in my Uni days.

There was a tradition in the Science Fiction/Fantasy society for fancy-dress pub crawls and one member () decided he would be Tharg the Mighty, editor of a certain comic.

Partly shaving his head wasn't too bad, nor the bicycle reflector stuck to his forehead, and the boiler-suit, wellies and comic logo for his breast pocket were easy enough to find.

His best idea, though was to emulate Tharg's green skin by taking a bath in green food dye, which doesn't wash off.

He was still green more than a month later.
