Dark tower noob.

Okay. I read the first book of the Dark tower saga and thought it good.

Now im onto book two and its yuk, the prose is dead and boring.
its like he's going sit down and i'll tell you what happened. Not read and discover for yourself....

Should i continue.

Oh sweet lord. Should you continue? Em yes, I would thoroughly recommend so.lol. The second book is excellent anyway but I guess we all have different tastes. I personally think the third book is the best so at least you'll have something to look forward to if you continue. So yeah, keep truckin'. It's worth it!!

I agree, the third one is definitely the best. The first one, The Gunslinger, I didn't enjoy that so much but after that the books are consistently great, I think (well, apart from the fourth one, I'm not so keen on that one, either -- but the rest, I feel, are fantastic). Definitely worth carrying on.

Gee, I've always thought that (at a minimum) the section of Book # 2 with Jack Mort was superbly written, as in some of the best action sequences I've ever read in any fiction, and that he's the kind of villain you can love to hate.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I agree the second is best after the third......and I couldn't stand the fourth.....I guess we were all just anxious to get on with the real story.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard anyone disparage The Drawing of the Three. It is different from The Gunslinger, but it's extremely enjoyable.
