Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... Less than a week to go before I grace the small screen. Have finally seen an episode ... well, most of one. I was pleased to see that the format worked well. It's an interesting mix, with Tony Robinson doing his usual quizzing of experts intermingled with the actual quiz bit. It's a shame that I won't get to see myself, but someone is going to record it for me to watch afterwards. No poking fun, now! Well, OK, some banter is inevitable, I suppose. ![]()

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... I doubt it, Joel. Much as I'd like to, I imagine I'd be breaching all sorts of copyright laws by doing so. Even having a barrister for a wife wouldn't help me if I'd blatently done something like that. ![]() The best thing would be to get a friend to tape it for you.

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... So your show is definitely on this weekend, is it Mark? I've seen two out of the three so far, and thought they were good fun - even if Tony Robinson is a bit cruel to the contestants sometimes... How long did it take to film? I presume there's a lot more footage than the bits that make the final show? If so, will you know what they've cut out, and kept in, before it airs, or will the final version be as much of a surprise to you as to the rest of us? Looking forward to the weekend now! ![]()

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... Patrick, I've got no idea what they've left in and what they've taken out. We were filmed for around 5 hours in total, so there will be a lot left out, but that's not a bad thing ... trust me on that. We authors did talk some drivel at times! It's amazing what rubbish jumps into your head when someone jams a camera in your face and then asks you to talk about something you know nothing about. ![]() There are quite a few comments that I'm sincerely hoping will be left firmly on the cutting room floor!

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... I just saw it, Mark (on Catch Up TV On Demand - if anyone else has Virgin Cable. It'll be there for a week.. so I imagine that people will be able to watch it on their PCs too with 4oD). ... it was very good! That's all I shall say for now in case peeps haven't seen it yet.

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... They left out the bit where you flattened the little t*t though. Seriously, where did you get that daft bat ? I swear she'd've got her name wrong. ![]()

Aw - that's a tad harsh! I was on Central Weekend (regional late night discussion programme with half the brains of Jeremy Kyle to it) a few years back and was talking when a second camera zoomed towards me (it was on some kind of crane-thing), I completely went to pieces. I think my mom still has the recording somewhere. I look very pale. | |

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... I watched when it was on TV, and I felt sorry for all those sleep deprived people being grilled with rapid fire questions! Both teams put up an excellent fight with only a few "D'oh" moments ![]()

Re: There's Nuffin' on the Telly ... I did enjoy it, Patrick. It was a fascinating experience. I'll certainly never forget it. Poor Linda was feeling the lack of sleep more than Charles and I by the last round. I felt very sorry for her, as she knew the answers to two out of three of the questions she failed to answer correctly in the last round, but at 5am, when under pressure, it's amazing how one's brain clogs and grinds to a halt. I felt even more sorry for Geoff - the captain of the opposition team - when he got the simple Troy question and drew a blank for similar reason. I doubt his colleagues will ever let him forget that he got that wrong!
