And it definitely did.

Is this the legacy of facebook? I joined for 10 minutes and had loads of people wanting to be my mate.

I was so swamped with indiscriminate requests I panicked and deactivated, which is still my status.

Possibly it's because I'm unsociable, but I don't think so

But you have what all zombies want: brains.

That even grated with me, so your pain must have been awful.

I laughed (was going to say LOLled) heartily at this.

ZombieB.... I've been on here three years, and I'm a very shy retiring chap, with not a lot to say and I didn't make a friend for over 6 months. But then I wasn't looking for them, and the enjoyment of the forum with its wealth of everything you could want and more, was more than enough to keep me occupied. Being 'friends' with people on this forum is just a bit of fun, nothing more (or have I missed something?). I'm actually not friends with two of my real friends on here, if you see what I mean. The beauty of this site is its friendliness and openess (openness?) which welcomes all and sundry, and I see from your blogs (I never read a blog unless directed there) that you've got a lot of interests and that's good. Post more on the threads and you'll get much more response - just like this one.

Not only do I have Jessie J's godawful 'Price Tag' stuck in my head but the verse melody is pretty much exactly the same as Natalie Imbriglia's equally godawful 'Torn' and the two keep flick-flacking about my mind like some horrendous pop mash-up squash match.

Following my birthday greeting to him, I've still got "If you knew J-WO, like I know J-WO..." going round it my head!!

Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST))

My very first foray into the befriending thing happened about a year after I joined. I literally didn't know what to do with it. I mean, was I meant to hang out with this guy? Support his comments and posts? I really had no idea.

Since then, I've accumulated what I would consider a lot (certainly in comparison with RL), a goodly proportion of which haven't been around for at least a yonk and possibly two.

Does anyone know how long a yonk is? Is thrte a standard size or are there small medium and large ones?
