| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) WHy is it that every evenning when I finish work I still have lots of work to do. I take it home then ignore it by going on Chronicles, playing my guitar / banjo or just getting drunk. Then I spend the next morning in a panic. |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) Wow, I went like a whole weekend without like, too much frustration. I deserve a cookie. But now, I am totally looking at my house. And boxes. And I'm thinking, lets just throw it all away except the pictures. That sounds like MUCH more fun than packing and unpacking. |

I'm happily playing one of the one-word games in the Playrooms, and some unknown person posts up a link to his website (which promotes his Lulu.com self-published book). The cheek! He/she/it makes only one post -- and it's to self-promote! |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) There are whole websites dedicated to self promotion...why do they come here? Anyways, I think I broke my toe. With the dishwasher. Its an on the floor rolly kind and last night I slammed my big toe into it and it is all puffy and purplish and kinda hurts like a mofo. Ah well, since it hurts to walk on it, that gives me one heck of an excuse to sit on my butt and order everyone around! Or, I could have just stubbed/jarred it really bad. |

I've had three, so I have some experience with it. *sigh* Defintely, sit and give orders time for you, kiddo. ![]() It's too hot! 102 degrees F at getting close to 7 p.m. I know, I know...there are places where it's hotter than that. But I'm not any of those places, now, am I? And even worse? I need to go out in that to take out the garbage. Grrrrr. |

| Flaming Poltergeist | Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) I don't like complaining all the time about having a cold because, hell, it's a cold, everyone gets one. But this one's a beast and it's just made me want to rant. My nose is blocked so I have to breathe through my mouth and that makes my lips dry (I hate dry lips) and I've lost my appetite which is something very rare for me (I eat constantly, really) and I'm hot and I'm tired but I know that when I try to sleep it's not going to be comfortable... OK, thanks for that. I'll stop moaning now and just wait for it to clear up... |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) I hope you feel better soon Hoopy! I hate colds and alllergies. My allergies have been kicking up big time this summer......it feels like a submarine is travelling my nasal passages. Stupid submarines! Anyways, just got off the phone with my mom (I know, sigh)...after this discussion I realize my parents need a lot more financial help then they were letting on. I haven't been out to thier house for more than a year, we just meet up somewhere or they come over here.....and here is why.... OK so apparently the roof over the third bedroom has been leaking for a few years. My parents couldn't afford to fix it (5 grand or more) and are not physically capable of getting up there to fix it themselves, and of course were not going to ask me for help since I have my "own problems" financially as my mom puts it. OK no big, right? I'll just save up and in 5 months with not paying rent I can buy a new roof. No. Big problem. There is black mold on the walls and in the cieling. Its actually so bad that it fell down. Which is really unhealthy. So, the whole room needs to be torn down and replaced. Which isn't too big of a deal, my man and I have both worked on houses and such before and its not too hard to figure out. Except that you have to have a building permit, which requires a building inspector. So, why is that a huge problem? Because, my parents live in a very old house on the river. This is a lovely house, for the most part. except that nothing, including the sewage, has been upgraded since the house was built in 1930. No, seriously. It was my stepdads grandparents farmhouse. Now then, the sewage is freaking leaking in the back yard. They live on a few acres and just don't go into the back. Hello, mom, I know we've had our disagreements but crap, you could have asked me for help. Cost to repair the sewage system is going to be in the tens of thousands. If she would have brought this to my attention last year, I would gladly have used my tax returns and credit cards and whatever else to help. But she didn't, because my parents are old school and they don't like to get help from anyone. Which is why I'm so damn stubborn, myself. So now, my plans have changed from "just a year or so until mom gets her surgery" to "hmm....possibly permanent so I don't have to worry about mom's living conditions..." Although, I am wondering if we can have the house put on the historical society since it was one of the first farm houses in that particular area. If so, then there are grants we can apply for...which is another big fit with my stepdad, he don't want nobody's money but his own. Silly stubborn Southern Baptists! PS: I have another rant about my psychotic sister, but I'm savign that one. Lets just say that she is probalby going into treatment, I can't get guardianship of her son because she freaking TOLD child services that I was physically and financially abusing her...basically, she said I would beat her up and take her money....um, for someone with no job, I'd sure like to know where this money she says I stole came from. She also stole my stepmom's methadone and my mother's delotin and vicodin last week. I just don't get it, out of all us kids, we are all fairly honest church going country folk. My one sister though, is just fracking crackers. Things missing from the house when my sister moved out include a very expensive Mother Mary Statue and Crucifix I bought for my daughter. They had real gold inlays and such stuff, as well as my daugther's cellular phone. PS: I just realized how sad it is that the Internet is my source for venting.....I need a punching bag.
