(You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) JUST STAY ON THE WIRE FOR A FEW MORE SECONDS SO I CAN SHOOT YOU! to add context - there is an electricity (or telephone) wire that runs from just beside my window off to the poles and then the wider nations. Upon this wire birds will sometimes sit, but each time I get my camera out of the window to shoot them they fly off! |

I got told on friday that I had my old job back and that head office in Melbourne was going to send me an email and I had to complete some online thing and then go in and fill out more paper work. When I got the job last time it was much easier than this. |

(You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) yah - in the old days it was turn-up ask and be hired or refused on the spot now its fill in form A section B, but only if you are under 45 if you are over its section C - then you have to send this off - wait a month and then fill in section A1-10 of form B. Then Form C will be.................. its a nightmare (worst part is that nobody ever looks at the darped things!) |

| Crooked Warden | Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) It is really stupid, cause the woman working in the section at the moment is really sick, and now can only do 1 day a week so they just get casuals, so by the time I get in there it is going to be a HUGE mess and I will have to spend weeks reorganising the place, and getting to know the new kiddies and sussing out if I need to use the whip on them or not |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) Gotta love Human Resources, it seems half the time now the person hiring you has nothing to do with the job you'll actually be doing they're just professional interviewers. Applying for the job I'm in now took about 4-5 months from first applying to actually starting work and I've had to reapply since (selection criteria, interview the lot) to keep working in a job I'm already doing because of contracts. |

| Crooked Warden | Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) Its bloody stupid. My dad had to do the same thing last year to change from being PT to FT. My husband had apply online through an outside source to get the job he is in now, even though his boss already told him he had the job, Just so that it was seen to be done properly. |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) Yep, at least my reapplying was because we've switched to long term contracts so it's sorted for a bit but another workmate has now had to re-apply 3 times for the job she's already in and even worse we had a worker apply, get the job and start working and then a few months later fail to get the job the second time around! If it was the bosses doing the hiring you'd think they were using it as an excuse not to keep her but it was all through HR and the boss wasn't even involved, she just had a bad interview on the day. She was pretty understandably insulted and in the end we lost a good worker because of it. |

| Re: Shout Your Frustrations to the World! (You know you want to.(READ FIRST POST)) Hooray for working casual! I decided I wanted this Monday off, and was granted, with only a week's notice! At the moment the law firm's going through a bit of a quiet period so they don't need me as much. But still! |
