Hoppy I am quite happy to swap a little bit of your cold weather for our hot weather. We have had two 40c plus days and today is going to be 37c as is tomorrow.

I think I may be coming down with something: aches, shivers and sudden heating round my neck and shoulders. (I'm not too bad at the moment, but tomorrow is the weekend, which is the perfect attractor for nasty bugs, germs and viruses, the ones who feel like an extra workout after Christmas and the New Year!)

What I got was superbad. It started as an innocent sore throat-like the kind you might get after neglecting intaking fluids for a little while. Then nothing, and after I had gone to a movie with my brother, BAM! Hot blooded, check it and see! Got a fever of 103!

That's no joke. That's the temperature I was all that night, then back to the sore throat, headache, and-the worst of all-horrible abdominal pain.
