soundtrack

Does anybody else listen to soundtrack music. If so, who are your favorite composers. Personally, mine are Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Randy Edelman.

Re: soundtrack

The only soundtrack I own apart from compilations (Reservoir dogs etc) is The Last of the Mohicans soundtrack. I loved how well it worked with the movie and much of it (particularly the opening Main Title and Elk Hunt) still brings back images of the movie whilst listening to it.

Re: soundtrack

Hmm... that's a tough question. I love quite a few different composers. Here's my list (in no particular order): John Williams (Theme from Schindler's List), Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean), Joseph LoDuca (Xena), Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator), Michael Nyman (The Piano) Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings), and, though it's not really classical music, Jeff Wayne (War of the Worlds, the original).

Not sure who Randy Edelman is, though...

Re: soundtrack

Ah, I knew there'd been a conversation on this (not that music doesn't repeat itself with variations)

Re: soundtrack

Edelman wrote the music for Gettysburg. It is a very powerful score.
