Re: The Discworld Diaries

Pretty good review Marky. Am used to superscript too but I know school papers tend to be the way you did it. Just took some getting used to. Am glad you liked the book. It's one that I like particularly as well.

Have you read the other?

Re: The Discworld Diaries

HAH! Now that is a fun book. I've actually tried some of the recipes from there. The Banana Soup is.... surprising. Not disgusting, but definitely something I'd never eat again... "Surprise!" really sums it up.
What's next for you?

Re: The Discworld Diaries

Lords and Ladies would be the next in line, though there's first some other things to read:

A non-published book for a friend to provide with comments before its final edit and some school stuff. In other words, Lords and Ladies will have to wait for a week or two.

That's right! We're back on track! I've read the first 100 pages last night and this morning in the bus. Woot!

Re: The Discworld Diaries

I liked Lords and Ladies, I've always had an interest in "the fair folk" (I suppose I have Tolkien to thank for that)

Men at arms was great, I need to re-read it actually...

Re: The Discworld Diaries

That was Men at Arms, with possibly the best Pratchettism I've ever seen. Something along the lines of: Rich people are rich because they can afford to buy cheaper products than poor people.

I've moved on to Soul Music already, with the very true statement: "Susan didn't like Literature. She'd rather read a good book."
