The Flying Dutchman and travel to alternate timelines. I need help with that name of the author and the title of a book that deals with the legendary ship The Flying Dutchman, and people traveling to alternate earths. The only thing that I really rememder is at the end, the villan gets what he is always wanted, the Flying Dutchman. He is then told that there are no more worlds to travel to, or some such. I don't think it is The Homeward Bounders.

Re: The Flying Dutchman and travel to alternate timelines. There was the Tom Holt humorous fantasy " Flying Dutch" and reason why they came ashore every 7 years. funny book but it may not be the one you are after.

Re: The Flying Dutchman and travel to alternate timelines. Nope, its not Flying Dutch, but thanks. It might be The Homeward Bounders, just need to know if that instance is in the book. The reason that they stay at sea in Flying Dutch is that they stink, right?
