| Super Moderator | Re: Bono Cool deal. A lot of people make fun of Bono. And, yeah, it seems like he comes across as a little self-righteous sometimes. But you know what. He's out there doing something to make the world a better place, and most of the people who make fun of him, well, they're sitting on their butts making fun of him and not a whole lot else. Furthermore, he is doing the things he is doing - I think - because he has a good soul and because he's smart enough to do something constructive with his fame. He has a platform and he isn't afraid to use it, and further he isn't afraid to do the homework he needs to do to use his platform effectively. Basically, actually, he's doing what the politicians and religious leaders should be doing and aren't. I say, more power to him. |
