Code Geass

Anybody watch this yet? I'm just blown away by how great this show is. Its produced by Sunrise (Gundam Seed, Gundam Seed Destiny) with character design done by CLAMP (Rayearth, X, CCS).

I'm usually not a big fan of the mecha genre but this anime has me sold. Mostly its because the main protagonist is an anti-hero (kinda like Light Yagami of Deathnote) and his main adversary in turn possesses all the traits of your traditional hero character. Its just fun to watch the good guys being lead by the villain while the forces of evil are championed by a heroic character. Fun times.

I've heard of this one, but yet to see it. I want to, though, as it sounds good.

Re: Code Geass

They've just recently, (about a month ago) put it on CN.

I like the Alternate History aspect, where you have this oppressive British Empire ruling over a ruined Japan. It has this byzantine storyline too, but that's as often confusing as it is interesting.

I quite enjoy Code Geass and yeah the whole hero on the bad guys side and anti hero on the good guys is really fun. Although I would not go so far as to say Lelouch is evil although some of his methods are quite dubious at times he is not completely bad like the Emperor.

I have enjoyed what I've seen of Geass so far. I hope it continues to interest me.

Re: Code Geass

This is one of my favorites. I've also seen the first 7 episodes of season 2 now, and it's really good. I haven't watched anymore b yet because it's become a reasl chore to download. I would highly recommend Code Geass, though.

Re: Code Geass

The final episode of the series aired yesterday and have to say from the spoilers I've seen the ending wasn't bad, in fact, you might say that it far exceeded the trainwreck that I expected.

Re: Code Geass

Oh yeah. Quite a tour de force, Code Geass. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for ep10 of R2. Driving me nuts. The second season so far is just as good, although it has become quite apparent that [spolier] Lelouch has not learned his lesson from the first season. Oh, I hope things don't turn out too bad for everyone...

Re: Code Geass

Just wished they palyed Colors at the end. That song among all others in the ost described what the show was all about, particularly Lelouch's motivations.
