Season 1 of the Dresden Files is due to release on DVD in August 2007.

I finally got to watch this series when i hired it out Aug bank hols./ Its not a patch on the books, but enjoyable enough

There is even a website dedicated to bringing it back. http://www.dresdenfiles.org/petition
Their petition may still be up. I saw the series before I read the books so when I read the first book, the characters had voices. What I've read of the books so far are of course much better but the series was definitly worth saving.

So far, the 'official' word on the 2nd season is 'no'. Which really is too bad - b/c the characters were just starting to develop and find their feet by the last few episodes.

No second season after all? That's a shame. I'll be getting the dvd set at some point, though.

Yes, the SciFi channel seems to be making enemies all over the place anymore.

If they'd just stop cancelling the good stuff...
