Soundtrack to your life

Sure, these things are quite pointless, but this one in particular throws up some great answers from time to time

I'm redoing my previous results, because I've got a whole load of new music since.

So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put the entire library on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend your cool...

Opening Credits:
Maroon 5 - Harder to Breath (More like ending credits, I would have thought)

Waking Up:
Jerusalem (Ha! That would be quite some wake up call!)

First Day At School:
Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing (Not bad - JJ is good music to ignore teachers to)

Falling In love:
Good Charlotte - Wondering (Actually a perfect fit. Unusual!)

Fight Song:
Lostprophets - We are Godzilla, You are Japan (Could work.)

Breaking Up:
The Beautiful South - A Little Time (Again, perfect fit. Wow)

Prom:
Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up (Well, we don't have proms, but sure - party song)

Life's OK:
Muse - Feeling Good (Huh. Guess perfect fits aren't so unusual after all)

Mental Breakdown:
Ash - Burn Baby Burn (Meh)

Driving:
Biffy Clyro - Day of... (I wouldn't recommend any driving while listening to this, personally. Road Rage may follow close behind)

Flashback:
Flogging Molly - Cruel Mistress (HA! Depends on the flashback, doesn't it)

Getting Back Together:
No Doubt - Sunday Morning (Erm. No.)

Wedding:
Tenecious D - Double Team (Sure)

Birth of Child:
RHCP - By the Way (Not great, but every soundtrack needs a song this good in it anyway!)

Final Battle:
Snow Patrol - We Can Run Away Now They're All Dead And Gone (I loled at the title)

Death Scene:
Supertramp - It's Raining Again (Could be appropriate, if the scene was tragic enough)

Funeral Song:
Beautiful South - One Last Love Song (Nice)

End Credits:
KT Tunstall - Black Horse and the Cherry Tree (Upbeat ending, certainly)

Re: Soundtrack to your life

Opening Credits:
Say Hello Wave Goodbye - David Gray (Of to a good start at least)

Waking Up:
She's a Rebel - Green Day

First Day At School:
Atlantic City - Bruce Springsteen (busing it from Oz, it'd wana be some Kindergarten)

Falling In love:
Thrillology - Powderfinger

Fight Song:
Bless my Soul - Powderfinger ( I could handle making my way to the ring, hoody up, to this playing haha)

Breaking Up:
Parachutes - Coldplay (messy break up to be needing one of these!)

Prom:
Black Stick - The Cruel Sea (would've made a good prom/ball)

Life's OK:
Four Seasons in One Day - Crowded House (apt enough except its probably one of my least favourite CH songs)

Mental Breakdown:
Jesus of Suburbia - Greenday (I've got an image of joining Michael Jackson and Homer Simpson in the Asylum, "Hey, I'm you know who's son.")

Driving:
Let's Stay Together - Al Green

Flashback:
O Sole Mio - Pavarotti

Getting Back Together:
Spoonman - Sound Garden (ROFL)

Wedding:
Cheating on You - Franz Ferdinand (now that parachute makes sense)

Birth of Child:
Reelin & Rockin (live) - George Thorogood

Final Battle:
Alabama Song - The Doors

Death Scene:
Yahweh - U2

Funeral Song:
Give it Up - Hothouse Flowers (Not bad)

End Credits:
I Will Find You - Last of the Mohicans Soundtrack

That was a laugh Rane, once everyones had a chance to post we'll have to throw up a new list.

Re: Soundtrack to your life

I'm going to do it with my MP3 player - 1. It's got my whole library on it, which WMP doesn't, and 2. I'm listening to something in WMP at the mo.

Getting Back Together:
Cold War Kids - Saint John (Glee! I get back together with my girl to a song about Death Row! Woop!)

I can clearly picture you been thrown for the sharks, crawling back on land saying: I'm not dead. But then again the villain changes it.

Re: Soundtrack to your life

Random results? sounds cool! Although I don't have many albums, since I can't afford many CDs and I don't download music.

Opening Credits:
Evanescence - Everybody's Fool (I have no idea what that says about me)

Waking Up:
Switchfoot - Dare You To Move (Wahey! A vaguely relevant one)

First Day At School:
Angry Malmsteen - Adagio (I don't even know what that means)

Falling In love:
Joe Satriani - Searching (Meh, sounds reasonable)

Fight Song:
POD - Sleeping Awake (well... it was used in the matrix... and there are fights in that!)

Breaking Up:
MercyMe - In The Blink Of An Eye (it could have been about a break up )

Prom:
Audioslave - Your Time Has Come (apparently)

Life's OK:
Rage Against The Machine - Bullet In The Head (I can't really think of anything to say about that)

Mental Breakdown:
Joe Satriani - Crushing Day (Look, I just have a lot of his albums, alright?)

Driving:
Relient K - Which To Bury, Us Or The Hatchet? (I need more songs with silly names!)

Flashback:
Audio Adrenaline - Ocean Floor (obviously I haven't actually been on the ocean floor, it's just a coincidence)

Getting Back Together:
Audio Adrenaline - Scum Sweetheart (hah, how about the opposite!)

Wedding:
Joe Satriani - The Crush Of Love (finally something relevant!)

Birth of Child:
DC Talk - Between You And Me (there is a small child!)

Final Battle:
Delirious - Deeper (totally the opposite of a fighting song... must try it in a film sometime )

Death Scene:
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child (Slight Remix)

Funeral Song:
Gen - Belljar (heh, so that's my coffin design...)

End Credits:
Where On Earth? - Here We Come With The Action (right at the end!)

Re: Soundtrack to your life

Opening Credits: "Man With a Mission" by Bad Religion
(I'd think a more mellow song would be better, but title-wise, that's a great one)

Waking Up: "The Will The Message" by Bombshell Rocks
(Amazing selection)

First Day At School: "Closer to You" by The Wallflowers
(Yeah, not really making much sense on this one)

Falling In love: "Here He Comes (Confessions of a Drunken Marrionette)" by Jakob Dylan
(Great selection, in my opinion)

Fight Song: "The Deepest Blues are Black" by Foo Fighters
(It works...with all the times I've been beaten and bruised, it works)

Breaking Up: "She's Got a Boyfriend" by Bowling for Soup
(Almost works, but not quite)

Prom: "Untitled" by Bombshell Rocks
(Well, that's not fun at all, is it? Besides, much to fast paced for a prom song)

Life's OK: "Rudie Can't Fail" by The Clash
(Sweet)

Mental Breakdown: "Desperatly Wanting" by Better Than Ezra
(This one works well enough)

Driving: "Crossroads" by Bombshell Rocks
(Actually, no. Rudie Can't Fail is a driving song, Crossroads...not so much)

Flashback: "Beyond Electric Dreams" by Bad Religion
(This one makes no kind of sense what-so-ever)

Getting Back Together: "Beautiful Mistake" by Better Than Ezra
(In order to make this work, you'd have to disreguard the song entirely, as well as the first word in it's title)

Wedding: "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton
(ROFLMAO...Oh my God! If only you knew why this was so funny!)

Birth of Child: "Atomic Garden" by Bad Religion
(Doesn't Work at all...then again, the prospect of children doesn't work at all)

Final Battle: "My City Was Gone" by The Pretenders
(Far too mellow for a battle scene)

Death Scene: "Materialist" by Bad Religion
(Man, Bad Religion is popping up a lot. And it doesn't work very well)

Funeral Song: "Save a City..." by Mischief Brew
(Save a city, burn it down. Doesn't work in the least)

End Credits: "Baby I'm Drunk" by Reverend Horton Heat
(Also doesn't work in the least, but it's the Reverend. You gotta love the Reverend)

Re: Soundtrack to your life

Cool, enjoyed this, thanks!

Opening Credits:
International Staff Band - Music of thanksgiving
(I like, good start)

Waking Up:
REM - New Orleans instrumental
(too mellow, I need something shouty, or I don't budge)

First Day At School:
James Blunt - Cry
(that's my time at school summed up)

Falling In love:
ROFL!!! Meatloaf - All revved up with no place to go!
(Love or lust?)

Fight Song:
Jesus Christ superstar - Judas' Death
(There's better on the album, but it's a gorgeous bit of music)

Breaking Up:
REM - everybody hurts
(cheesey in the extreme)

Prom:
James Blunt - cover of Fall at Your Feet
(more fromage)

Life's OK:
James Blunt - Wisemen
(not really that good)

Mental Breakdown:
Meatloaf - Two out of Three ain't bad
(actually, this is my 'our song'!)

Driving:
REM - Nightswimming
(nice and chilled)

Flashback:
REM - Try not to breathe
(oo-err)

Getting Back Together:
James Blunt - You're Beautiful
(cheesey, but it'd work for me)

Wedding:
Superstar - Pilate's dream
(!??!)

Birth of Child:
James Blunt - Billy
(not my first choice for a name...)

Final Battle:
REM - The sidewinder sleeps tonite
(a veiled threat, possibly)

Death Scene:
REM - Ignoreland
(they'll be squabbling over my book collection when I'm croaking!)

Funeral Song:
Superstar - Heaven on their minds
(very appropriate)

End Credits:
James Blunt - where is my mind?
(sums me up in a nutshell, really...)
