| Is this book science fiction? I was reading an article today from Wired online and I thought this was an interesting debate. As our lived become increasingly more saturated with technology, we are so much more aware of eminent natural disasters, and plausable dystopia, does the Science Fiction genre still exist? Would we classify Kevin's book as science fiction as well as fiction? Does it matter? Read the article that sparked this line of thinking? http://www.wired.com/culture/culture...ifighetto_0412 Also in the current issue of Wired Magazine is a feature about a double amputee runner in South Africa vying to get into the Olympics and whether or not the technology used to make his running legs is somehow more advantages? |

| um, as far as I'm aware, we still don't have interstellar drives, immortality technology or matter transporters, so yes, science fiction does still exist. However, whether dystopian science fiction, or certain other sub-genres of sci-fi, still exist, is an interesting question. |
