What makes us human?

I found myself asking this question when reading the book. I was wondering. Is it flesh, blood, kidneys, live, lungs one heart (i could go on for much longer) that makes us human. Or is it what we feel, emotion, love, caring, hurting.
What do you guys think?

This is a brilliant subject. I myself would have to take a scientific POV... so I would say that you would need to have the same genome, have the right organs etc.

However, to some extent I do agree that emotions and feeling have a big effect here, since we often say things like "He's not human" to suggest someone's not being very caring.

not sure- you could have humanity and not be human, I think.

Ever seen "Bicentennial Man"?
