Was Eddi pregnant?

When i was reading the end bit, i thought Eddi was going to be pregnant or something. She had been ill, tired and she wouldn't touch the wine.

I know the book suggest that Robert isn't exactly human, but maybe he could still have kids with humans and stuff.

Just me musing, your thoughts?

I think it's entirely possible that she was- it'd definitely make it a more emotional ending.

It's definetly a possibility. Still, think about what would happen if Robert found out - would he be worried? Happy for them?

oh emilie, you and your ducks.

On a serious point, Emmanovi, I don't think Robert would be happy for his children- assuming there were any, they would have died along with Eddi.

Well... I didn't exactly mean after Eddi died, but if she told him before, what his initial reactions would be.

No idea. Probably happiness- he said he felt content there.

I think this could of be a possibilty, as like pointed out, she was tired, she didn't drink, and she was also sick. Also, she seem to be more emotional and so on when they got back to the flat, which could mean she was going to tell him she was when they were back, so this could all lead to Eddi being pregnant, and Robert being human in some way, besides what actually in him.

But, with Eddi being sick and going to the toliet with Hayes, she did stab her with the syringe, so that could have just been some idea to get Hayes out of the way, and she wasn't really that sick, unless i missed something.

i vaguely remember writing something about Eddi possibly being like a female stoat--
they are willing to die to save their young.
i obviously forgot to hit 'post'
however, couldn't it be the same in this case,
if your life, your child's life and you lover's life are all on the line,
then the inevitably charge of adrenaline that must follow would kickstart your ferocity levels
enough to stab someone.
it doesn't mean she wasn't pregnant.
