Without Eddi's death, the ending would have been lacking.

I mean, it'd just be Eddi and Rob running off into the sunset- again. It needed some kind of conclusion, and Eddi's death gave it that.

i agree
without her death it would have been too sugar candy,
there needs to be some kind of bite to books to make them a good book.
it can't all be happy-go-lucky in the world of fiction,
people would stop reading as it became too predictable.
Eddi's death was definitely necessary,
i felt there was no way it was going to end happily.

"there was no way it was going to end happily."

-I agree, because there's usually a rule in fiction: once you start talking about a happy future, you're setting yourself up for DEATH!

hello ExploitedTeen.

Apologies from me- I deleted your thread on "what happened to the new users?" because I thought you would spam. Unfortunately I misread your name

Anyway to answer that question it's because a lot of users were really just there to spam.

Re: Eddi - spoilers!

I really liked Eddi, especially by the end. =(
I haven't really thought about how necessary it was for her death in relation to the outcome of the book, but I certainly wish she hadn't died. She was really all Robert had. =( But I guess she had to.
Ahaha, I agree about the dog dying. That was sad. I was wondering though, does that mean that the entire family living downstairs was also killed? =\

I believe there is room for a sequel though. I mean, Robert didn't kill Ryan. So maybe in the next book, Ryan will get another squad to follow him around and he'll set out in search of Robert again. And maybe...just maybe Eddi stood up for Robert at the end because she's also the same thing as him. And she knew that he was the thing too. So that's why she was sticking with him the whole time in England...to figure out what they were. And then, so maybe when she was shot, it was only temporary and her body has super-healing powers and she's not really dead, so then when she's healed, she goes searching for Robert again. =O
That would be awesome.
I would love a sequel to this book. = D

Re: Eddi - spoilers!

Although it was reeeeally sad i thought i made the book more exiting. I think if she didnt die then maybe i wouldnt have enjoyed it as much. It would be like titanic with no-one dying you cant expect everything to go as well as you want it to go can you?
