It's quite likely you will see a sequel, Mirage, as it'd be a bit cruel of Kevin to end it on such a cliffhanger

That is, of course, if Mr. Brooks has another Robert book in him.

Finished it this morning, I couldn't get up until I had.
It definitely made me think. I am sure we are all wondering where on earth Kevin Brooks gets his ideas from. Totally original.
It was a really good story, and will create lots of discussion I am sure. Can't wait to see what other people think.

thanks + sequel

Thanks M1rage and Lou for your very kind comments. Sequel? Well, I don't know. Sometimes I think sequels can take something away from the original story, and I wouldn't want that to happen with Being. But who knows? Anything's possible ... isn't it?

Very cool

I just finished it last night. It's a very, very cool book. I was gripped right from the very beginning and have a really vivid picture in my mind of how Robert looks (inside and out!)

It stands on its own as a great read and doesn't need a sequel (although I'd certainly read it if one came out!)

I went into the book shop the other day and was browsing and noticed the new Kevin Brooks book. I read the blurb as you do and was like "Cool, i want it"I've read Lucas and i love that book. My friend let me borrow it and i read that in like 3 days. So when i saw this book i wanted it so much. So i begged my mum and she was like ok ok. I mean love it. I happened to be travelling alot on the train that day and so i got to read a fair amount. I swear to you i could not put this book down. I love it soooooooo much. Something makes me smile every time i look at the book. I've never loved a book so much. I finished it the next day ( i eventually had to go to sleep as i had school in the morning) But like i say - amazing. I was so glad to see this website on the cover so i could talk about how much i love this book. I've returned the favour to my friend and let her borrow it!
But Kevin Brooks - you have written my favourite book in the whole world!

I really liked Being - when I first looked at it it seemed like the sort of book I wouldn't like. How wrong was I!

The plot hooked me, and from when he left the hospital I felt it impossible to put down. There were some brilliant bits - and some dark and scary.

One of my personal "most interesting" bits was when he decided to cut himself open to look at himself - I was thinking "What on Earth is going on in his mind?". If there is one book I would recommend to people, it is Being.

I've finished it, and i love it.

I found it when looking for something in the book store, and the green cover just stood out, so i had to get it, and after reading hte blurb, it didn't seem that good, but i got it anyway. And, when i started reading it, i couldn't put it down, i just had to read more to find out what would happen and i'm really glad i did get it, i mean, this has to be one of my favourite books so far.

The story line just got better & better as it went on, and it just made you have to read it ever more, and i'd be soo looking forward to a sequel if one was realised. And, i'm also looking forward to purchasing the rest of your books, because if they're anything like this one, they'd be so worth the read.
