| resident pedantissimo | Re: jello everyone You could regret that choice of name, how ever much you're not intending to leave before it wears out – remarkable how fast the "new" wears out. And amazing how long this place can hold you, once it gets its claws dug in. Fantasy (one would assume) books and games; any particular favorites? Authors, books, series or games? And this "would like to right (sic) but lack the skillz". Those skills are not inborn; they have to be developed, honed, thousands of pages junked while finding one's proper voice (ask anyone in the aspiring writers' section) Nobody said it would… no, if somebody did say it was going to be easy, I'll bet that he was requiring money to prove it. Still, the rewards are great, even if you don't get published, and the thrill if you do receive a cheque… (even if, calculating the hourly payment, indentured slavery might seem to carry higher financial remuneration) So, deviations apart, welcome to this somewhat weird but eminently amical crowd, and don't worry about me. Even here I'm considered a trifle weird. |

| Re: jello everyone .... is the jello lime and is in in the bath tub ![]() Meowrr and Namaste. Just know that you are doomed. Escape is impossible and you really should not believe anyone who tells you they are quite sane by any accepted standard. In return we offer books, movies, music, cats and possibly chopsticks along with conversations on just about anything and everything along with peanuts, cakes, chocolate and whisky. ![]() As for the basement, please feel free to visit. We're always hungering for visitors. A visit to the attic would be fine so long as you bring a basket of Gorgonzola with you. A visit to the piranha pool would require you to read them a chapter from Moby Dick. Come visit the Tea Room (The Quiet Room) and tell us about your favourite authors, movies, music ... It's always a good idea to bring something intriguing for the cat when visiting. |
