Re: Do you read books more than once?

I have often re-read books. The Lord of the Rings has been read so often, i can now go the passages i like and just read those. Little, Big by Crowley gets read every few years (how i love that book!). Same with The Sirens of Titan and Lord of Light.

Some books cannot be absorbed in the first read. While not sci-fi, i defy anyone to mentally integrate Catch 22 in their first go around!

Re: Do you read books more than once?

If I really love a book, I will read it over and over again. Sometimes, if I've had a hard day, I'll read one of my old favorites and just let the familiar words soothe me to sleep. If I read anything new before bedtime, my mind just keeps racing and I can't get any proper sleep ^-^

I read that one every few years too, I think it's one of the best fantasy books ever written. Every time I read it, I find some new insight to it.

Re: Do you read books more than once?

I rarely, if ever, re-read a book. I have stacks and stacks of books to read and not enough time to get to them all. It's also difficult for me to read a book that I know the ending to.
