Re: Reaper's Gale

Just ordered it Thursday, May 3. They said it wouldn't be shipped until June. Consider me throwing a tantrum right here and now. Wah.

And I did order it from Amazon, UK.

Re: Reaper's Gale

Amazon UK have been shipping copies within the last few days, don't see why yours should be any different.

Did you order the hardback or paperback? I think they might have sold out of the paperback already, which would cause the delay.

I ordered the hardback, but I live in California, USA. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I don't see why it would - I saw your location

A lot of Americans on the malazan board have had their copies shipped recently.

I too live in California (just a little bit north of you, infact) and I ordered the hardcover, which shipped a couple of days ago.

Re: Reaper's Gale

Yaay! I cancelled Murphy's Law. Just got a notice from Amazon, UK, that the Reaper's Gale has been sent and will be here no later than May 16. Happiness abounds in the Murphy household.

Re: Reaper's Gale

I got the paperback in the end.

Does anyone have the hardback yet? I noticed my trade pb doesn't have a section with the Houses/Holds like all the other books did (and its absense is pretty annoying - how the hell am I supposed to remember what the positions are in all these daft Holds?). Was wondering if they put that in the hardback?

Anyway... 250-ish pages in so far, and enjoying it very much.

Re: Reaper's Gale

Read it!

Will refrain from deep discussion until more people have finished it, but I will say this: it's very much like the Bonehunters in scope, feel and plot twists.

Re: Reaper's Gale

Should probably start a spoiler topic for those who've finished it.

Which still doesn't include me - damn lab reports

Oh, I have questions. Lots of questions, as befits Erikson's books.

I have the hardback but it doesn't have the list in, as its a different region and the deck of dragons etc doesn't have any power

No, but Midnight Tides had all the Holds in. Which is what I'm after.

I'm a patient kinda guy. Plotting for world takeovers does that to you...

I'm not sure when the book will be out here, probably not before June.
