|  For Buffy Fans Only (secret episode) Alyson Hannigan was not the original part for willow  Willow was actually a Goth with long black hair Only in The Episode 'Welcome To TheHellmouth' After That They Realised that Alyson Was Right For The Part & chose her.  Did anyone else know that?  Is anyone Quite shocked? And lastly does anyone have any other secrets about Buffy or the characters? | Re: For Buffy Fans Only (secret episode) Those are bits and bobs from the original, un-aired pilot episode. I think that SMG had gone up for the part of Cordelia, originally, but I don't remember for sure. Search around this part of the site, I think there are tidbits like that all over. |

| Re: For Buffy Fans Only (secret episode) I remember hearing that what they liked about Hannigan was that she didn't over do the 'geek' part. Alot of other actresses were apparantly turning up in thick glasses, shirts buttoned up to the chin etc. But Hannigan just came in and read it pretty straight. |

Although we'll never know how the original Willow might have worked out, Joss clearly saw something in AH that was missing from the other actress. I've seen that unaired pilot and she didn't stand out at all, but by then I'd seen AH in the part. |
