| Fantasycon I put to you this minuscule idea How about we start making a list of all the people within this site that: want to go have already booked are thinking of booking will definitely book (i thinks that would be me) to the Fantasycon to take place at the Britannia Hotel, 1 St James Street, Nottingham between the daays 21st - 23rd September 2007 Fantasycon - Presented by The British Fantasy Society wouldn't it be nice to go have some little thing in your lapel or something, please give ideas, so that when you look around you can sorprise yourself by recongnising each other? Of course without the slightes no obligation to even say 'hello', The hotel form is a bit of a dog's breakfast by the way, but i suppose that with patiene and careful reading it can be navegated without too much drama. Ok I love to read your comments |

| If you see a stranger... | Re: Fantasycon I do so wish I could go, but a lot depends on where I am at that time. If I do make the the move to Europe, then there is a chance I'll be there, but if I end up not moving, I'm afraid Georgia is just too far away. As for the lapel idea - how fun - a red flower perhaps? |

| Re: Fantasycon If I knew for definate there was a Chron member there I would say hello at least,as they say a wink is as good to a blind horse as a nod but what good is a blind horse to a jockey. |

It's just ironic, since I'm from Denmark, where the con is this year, but I live in Ireland. I'd like to go to con sometimes, though part of me thinks that I'll feel completely out of place as they tend to have writers I've never even heard of. I'd still like to give it a try if I get the chance.

| Re: Fantasycon I'd love to go to this but I am in Cornwall that weekend and it's hardly close. However, nearer the time there is http://www.hayfestival.com/wales/dow...gramme2007.pdf the festival at Hay on Wye which is like a giant book shop town. I might start a new thread for this actually as it is meant to be brilliant and I am definately going to try and get there. They have described it as a Woodstock for the mind. A brilliant description I thought. It's on from 24thmay to 3rd of June. |

Being 32, I expect to be older than most people at the festival, but what the hell! I haven't been to any festivals since *thinks* 2000 or so.
