The Lees of Laughter's End

I just got my copy today and finished it. It's great fun - funny, horrific, and totally Erikson having a blast. I had one too, but am sad that it's so short. I want more Bauchelain and Korbal Broach (and Mancy too, of course)!

My only quibble about it is the introduction. In a desire to tell us how much fun the book will be, Barclay spoils the story a bit, IMO. Indeed, there is one rather unfortunate crewman aboard the Suncurl whose plight we'd find even more funny had Barclay not mentioned it.

If you like the other two Bauchelain and Broach novellas, you'll love this one. Just don't read the introduction first.

I'm nearly half way through it at the moment, and it's great fun. Hope something actually happens soon though

Oh something does happen

But even before I was still giggling from Erikson's writing. Truly the fun is in journey...

I don't think I'll bother with it. The other two B&KB books were a bit crap.

Yes, if you didn't like the first two I can guarantee that you won't like this one.

I still like Healthy Dead the best, but Lees of Laughter's End is a very close second.
