A DG newbie hungry for more.

I havent recently got to know how amazing Gemmell is thanks to Rigante series.

Now i wonder if some of you more experienced with DG can help me.

First i wonder if some his stand alone books or the ones about alternate greek history have the usuall quality of DG?

Also i have Wolf in the shadow with Shannow and i wonder must i read the first two power of stones book to understand it? Wiki tricked me to believe Shannow books was its own series.

Third, i wanna read another series of him and i dont wanna start reading drenai cause i wanna save the best for last.

Which of his other series would you recomend most?

The stone of power books and the shannow trilogy are only loosely connected and you can really read them in any order. Personally my favorite series is the shannow triology but all of his books are quite good including the stand alones.

Oh so its not really a series like Rigante where you have to read the first two to understand the last two that happen hundreds years after?

Eh it doesnt really matter anymore cause i have ordered Ghost King and Last Sword of Power thinking it was a must read before Shannow books :P

Its all a matter of personal choice, I always suggest reading the book backs and see what grabs your fancy. Youve elected for the Arthurian tales although I always suggest Waylander for people wanting to go for something that they havent read although my favourite is still the original tale that inspired everything, Legend.
