Emma Watson speculation at an end...

As reported by IGN today, it's official that Emma Watson and the rest of the cast has signed on for the rest of the films.

Despite my personal view on the trio's acting chops, I couldn't picture anyone else playing these roles - which is a bit contradicting, I know. All the same, I'm glad we'll see the cast stay consistent throughout the final two films.

I'm sure they could find willing replacements if they did leave though. But looks and stuff would be hard.

Personally I dont think much od Danial Radcliffe's acting. Seeing him in Extras was good though because he was so bad. See here.

YAAAAAAAAY i wouldn't bother watching them if it wasnt... i was sad that Richard Harris died... (the original dumbledore for movie 1 and 2) he was genuinly like the book explained kind gentle and soft but we dont get that feeling from Michael Gambon (current dumbledore) he just isnt soft kind and gentle like the book explains it... its the original crew that keeps me loving the movies as well as the books (the books i like better)... does anyone agree with my opinion???? sooo sad ... to really see the difference see Veritaserum | Harry Potter Movies - Actors you can really see it in the face and eyes...

I'm glad they are not changing the three main actors. It's not that I prefer them that much, but I just simple got used to their faces

After all, they have played in 5 HP movies. It would be a little bit odd for me to see anyone else playing their characters

I always thought Watson's portrayal of Hermoine was pitch perfect. She's just too pretty. (That should make up for all the times I've made fun of her eyebrows.)

I also liked her as Hermione. Especially in part one, when she first sees them.
I didn't like the way Ron way portrayed, as a really stupid and...stupid person. In the books he seems immature and a bit clumsy, but in the films he's just an idiot.

She's not Hermione as I see her...Watson always seems to portray an angry Hermione...

And I don't like Watson. She constantly looks smug. But as my friends keep telling me, I have some kind of complex about women/girls in films, so this kind of response isn't anything surprising from me...

I agree. Richard Harris was perfect as Dumbledore. I haven't liked the new Dumbledore actor--Michael Gambon, as you pointed out--as much

The kids are okay, but I think i have to agree with others that they could have found someone better than Daniel Radcliffe (but since he has been HP for all the movies, I wouldn't like to have to adjust to a new face). Emma Watson does a great job. She's really evolved over the course of the movies into her character better than the guys have.

Now, I'm anxious to see what comes of the new characters in OotP.

you know, ive been thinking about this for a while. the student actors that have been here since the begining (Harry,Ron,Hermione,Nevile,Draco,etc.)
they will all be old enough to drink by the time 7 is finished!

harry is gonna have whiskers! that just aint right!

Arent they in the UK? They probably already are drinking.

Also I highly doubt that Radcliffe could grow a beard.

How old was Michael J. Fox when he made Back to the Future? He was a lot older than the teen character he portrayed.
