She wishes to become a singer, but she wants to finish college first. Her part time job is working at a pet store, because she loves animals.

Heiress to a great empire, Svetlana enjoys only the finest that life can offer. Self indulgent and decadent, and not to mention rather vain, she spends her time writing her memoirs, which she hopes to publish one of these days. Dark haired and with eyes that smoulder, there is very little that she can't afford, and she loves to get her own way. Only one man has dared to refuse her requests - a fact which annoys her immensely.

In the kingdom Teo was born in, women hold all positions of power and knowledge, while the intentionally uneducated men make up the labor and military forces. As the son of a teacher, Teo's exposure to the educational material his mother has occasionally left around the house carelessly has sparked his initial desire to learn, and want more than society plans for him. Compared to other boys his age, his rather delicate features and overall weakness has always been a shortcoming to him, however it just might also be his salvation, for he wants nothing more to attend school, learn about the world, and possibly bring about some much needed changes to his kingdom. So begins the adventure of Teo, or rather, Tia Dormaren

Alicia Ravenheart is an ordinary thirteen-year old schoolgirl, living in a quiet, leafy suburb north of Brisbane. When she was younger, she used to fancy herself the long-lost princess of a faraway kingdom, perhaps stolen from her loving parents by an evil black-hearted witch, and left here in this world in the unknowing care of a rather ordinary accountant and his fretful wife. But those were just the daydreams of a silly girl, and she had better things to worry about now, like clothes and make-up and boys. Well, she did, until the gryphon showed up at little lunch.

That was his designation, the closest thing he's ever had to a name. X14-33e is from a civilization where technology has been refined to an organic level. As such, X14-33e's body was artificially created to be disease-free, timeless, and capable of regenerating even the most devastating injuries. Since the apparent age of his people was completely irrelevant, the body he chose bears the likeness of 13 year old boy with brown hair and radiant blue eyes.

Cliched catastrophe happens, and several tens of thousands of years later, he awakens to find his civilization gone and almost all of his memories lost. Instead, humankind has reverted to a state akin to the middle ages. As everyone around him grows old and dies, he finds himself wanting his body to age along with the people he starts to call "friends" as he adjusts to living in this strange, new world.

Dudly is well known in his area as a big collector of all things related to a particular fantasy book series. On the chubby side and always cheerful, he makes sure that he gets every newly released piece of merchandise as soon as it comes out, and his home is full of book memorabilia.

When the latest package arrives with the morning post, Dudly expects to find a limited edition, fully painted model of the "all powerful Stone of Darkness". What he finds instead is an orb, glowing faintly as he unwraps the parcel...

Hailing from a gas giant in a parallel dimension to our own, Serai'lian Torxix is less a being and more the thoughts of a being. Formless, featureless, it is enough to know that on some level he exists. Carelessly sucked into the vortal carapex at the heart of his world, Torxix found himself transported to this dimension, to this time and reality. Utterly unable to establish communication with such an unadvanced species as humanity, he amuses himself by engaging infinitely more perceptive cats in staring competitions.

Octogon Blue

Octogon Blue is a merman from an unknown underwater empire called Ceruleanople. Victim of a strange name, Octogon was always teased by the neighborhood merkids. His sister, Pentagon, suffered the same. But now, Octogon is head of the royal guard of King Nen and Queen Amadahy. he is well respected throughout the kingdom and known for his fierce fighting skills.

The former Admiral of the fleet, forced to retire due to advancing age. Bemoaning the recent technological additions to his ship, he retreats to his home in the country to live out his remaining years in solitude. Barrel chested and grey-bearded, the ex-Admiral is opinionated and vociferous, meaning that some people generally give him a wide berth.

Ettarick Dunisi is an apprentice magician in the kingdom of Kilam'dar. He is curious, but somewhat clumsy. He has blonde hair and blue eyes and a real ladie's man, much to the displeasure of his master.

Kirkland Akerley Britland the second is running away. Away from home, away from school, away from his narrow-minded, over-protective family. And most of all, away from that damn nickname. CeCe! Seven hells! Longing for adventure, he signs on board a rickety old air steamer, the Rotterdam, as it takes flight for distant lands, his future his and his alone.

Terrip Sevensuns is the son of a poor farmer on the outskirts of a grand kingdom. He is also the seventh son of the seventh son of the seventh son for as long as he can remember. He is content with his life, but it will be turned upside down when the king hears of his family. The king is very superstitious, and he believes that the "magical" Terrip can "save" his unlucky, clumsy but beautiful daughter, Elizabeth. Terrip is taken to the castle against his will. He must bluff his way through the ridiculous tasks that the king believes must be accomplished to rid Elizabeth of her problems.

A woman travelling across Europe in search of her past. After she woke up after a car accident with no memory of her past, and with no living relatives anywhere in the country she was in, she sets out to discover who she really is. The only clue is the dark haired man standing next to her in a photograph, taken in front of the Eiffel Tower, which she apparently had in her pocket.

Terpsichore Jones - known to her friends as Chor - is captain of the Bowerbird, a Carrion-class salvage ship out of Berened-IV. Though she is contracted to Universal Scrap and Steel, Jones owns the 'Bird and is master of her own destiny. Along with her crew, the solemn, religious Russian engineer Vladimir Karkoff, and 'Shorty', her co-pilot and general gopher, she cruises the rim worlds, looking for wrecks and drifters to strip. When on a regulation recon of the Staliz system they run into a ship of a kind they've never seen before - seemingly abandoned, apparently organic, and roughly the size of Mercury - things start to get interesting.

Vidic the Aeromancer

Vidic the Aeromancer is a powerful, ninth-level mage who specializes in air-magic. Capable of creating hurricane-force winds, tornadoes and devastating ice-storms, he prefers to use his power for more helpful things - gentle irrigating showers, clearing away clouds from fairs and festivals, and diverting storms away from the small village he retired to twenty years ago.

He still keeps up with the renewal-spells on his talents, however, and sometimes wishes for a return to the days when his power alone stopped the barbarian invasions of his home-country.
