| Book Review: Exchange, by Paul Magrs Exchange is a young adult story about Simon, a 16 year old who is living with his grandparents after his parents are killed in a plane crash. He starts the book as a typical shy, awkward teenager, who is finding it hard to get over the death of his parents. But then he and his gran, with whom he shares a love of reading, find a Book Exchange and as they get to know the elderly owner (who has two plastic arms) and his teenage Goth assistant, things start to get interesting...
Exchange is a magical realist fantasy that should appeal to teenagers who love reading. It is very well written, with good characterisation and plotting.
