Re: should I write the publisher?

I wouldn't like to say. They have said "soon" so give them a couple of months before you start thinking of doing anything else.

I have a number of queries and submissions out with various agents/publishers for all three of my manuscripts and I am resisting the urge to send follow up emails and letters. I have decided if they are interested they will get back to me. If they are not, then when next they clear up the slush pile I will get a rejection.

In the meantime I am writing another book. Perhaps if you start another novel or some short stories it will take your mind off worrying.

You have gotten further than most folks ever do, enjoy that to the full. I would if I ever got a whole manuscript requested.

Hehe, I was joking. I wouldn't dare write that letter.

Good luck on your submissions, SJAB. Hope something comes through for you.

I'd certainly leave it at least one month - maybe six weeks.

Re: should I write the publisher?

How can I publish in UK if I'm from Ukraine (I mean a novel in the magazine)?
