The impulse to kiss her again was almost impossible to resist, but resist it he did. Tyr rose from his seat beside Zura with a growl of unsatisfied pleasure. He wanted to lose himself in her again. Is this what love was like? Wanting to gorge yourself again and again, even though your body should be sated? He could feel the heat rising again within himself.
The intercom system whirled to life with Dylan’s voice “Tyr, report to the Observation deck immediately.”
“What is it Captain?” Tyr questioned even though he was secretly relieved to have an excuse to come to his senses.
“I need you to check for security protocols.” Dylan replied.
“Can that not wait till a more appropriate time?” Tyr came back knowing this was the only way he would leave Zura, to be called away to perform his ships duties.
“No, Mr. Anassazi, it can’t. Now report immediately.”
That settled, Tyr turned to Zura and expressed his need to continue their discussion further at a later time. He; however, could not resist the deep prolonged kiss that stirred her passion a knew as well as her heart. And then he was gone.
Knowing of no urgent need for security checks, Tyr inquired of the real reason behind his summons to the Observation deck as soon as he steps on deck. “Why the urgent summons?”
“There seems to be more to our visitor than meets the eye. Romi has downloaded some information from her ship’s personal data banks, that may be of interest to you.” Dylan explained.
“Her parentage has already been established, if that is what you refer to.” Tyr replied.
“So you know that her father was of the Drago-Kazov Pride?” This came from Bekka.
“Yes, and I don’t see what any of this has to do with any of you. That information is as ancient as her father would be if he were here now, since she and you share the same fate of being lost in time.” Tyr said, the last bit having been said as he brought his full attention back to Dylan Hunt.
“And you also know of her mother’s Pride?” Dylan asked.
“yes.”
“What you don’t know is that she should be dead. She and her sister the proposed ambassador were to meet their end amongst the rest of the HighGuard ships on that fateful day, by Damon, first Alpha of the Falco Pride.”
Just then Harper walks in oblivious to the present conversation to announce “ I’m done. Kludgeni is fully operational again.” Finally realizing that the discussion he has interrupted was a deep one, he becomes curious saying “What? What did I miss?” asking no one and everyone in general.
(Hope this wasn't a disappointment)
