3.15: A Day in the Life I was fascinated by the insights this episode offers into Adama's failed marriage and his ongoing relationship with Lee and President Roslin. (His mental conversations with his wife reminded me a bit of Baltar's conversations with head-Six.) The action story of Cally and Chief Tyrol caught in the depressurizing airlock interwove well with Adama's story, as Cally and Tyrol dealt with pressures of balancing their (depressuring?) homelife and worklife. And it was good to see Starbuck and Apollo interact normally at work, as she supported his reading of the riot act to the potentially slacking flight crews. Did those of you who are anti-soap-opera find the episode sufficiently entertaining?

Re: 3.15: A Day in the Life "Did those of you who are anti-soap-opera find the episode sufficiently entertaining?" No. I was very disappointed. For the past few weeks the series has been treading water. I suspect I'm not the only one concerned. When the central plot driver disappears and lapses into interpersonal problems, that quite frankly could take place in any soap opera, it implies the series is being strung out and little true beef is left. The series appears to have jumped the shark.

Re: 3.15: A Day in the Life Liked the Chief and Cally story, Let out a big whoop at the effects at how close the rescue went. Yay Boomer-that's-not-boomer-who-is-Athena-Now! Didn't like the Adama story line so much but the bit with the prez was ok maybe would have worked better in a different episode. I don't mind interpersonal stories as long as the bigger arcs keep movin. Peronally I'd prefer a 3 season tight show than 5 seasons with filler "day in the life" episodes. The funny thing is I was reading the synopsis on itunes and I said "oh not a 'day in the life' episode" and then I found that was the actual title. As far as those sort of episodes go, this was better than that Bab. 5 episode where we followed the Janitors around ![]()
