The Trigan Empire - hardback edition

A graphic novel I've been trying to remember the name of for years after reading it at school as a kid. I eventually found it (thanks to this site! )
and it's just as good as first time around (although first time I didn't realise how influenced it was by the rise of Rome)

I think I'd like to read some Bubblegum Crisis again. It's been such a long time since the last time I read it.

The Watchmen collection followed by League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vols I & II

Also I'm reading an absolutlely fascinating book "Comics, Comix & Graphic Novels - A History Of Comic Art" by Roger Sabin. Over 600 illustrations/plates with an insightful history of the 'humble' comic from yetseryear's wood block carvings to some of today's high quality productions.

Re: What comic books/graphic novels are you reading at the moment?

Right now im reading Hajime No Ippo latest chapters and this wierd story of a manga about this :

Take yourself back to the 1880s where the KKK is thriving and the African American community lives in fear. The African Americans don't fear the KKK simply because they beat, rape, and kill them. No. They fear the KKK because the KKK eats them. They are the aptly named man-eaters, a kind of mix between werewolves and vampires. They consume human flesh, can shapeshift into various forms, and are practically immortal. Only one man, an ex-heavyweight boxer named Victor Freeman, dares to stand up to them. Equipped with a small arsenal and a set of modified brass knuckles, can our hero defend his people and avenge his past?

Wierd sounding right

Aye

I was hoping to read my own copy of 300 by now, as i ordered a copy off of amazon marketplace. Bearing in mind the item listing was an English language copy, dispatched from the UK, on the UK site, and I'm from the UK, i was sent a French copy...

Why would i want a French copy of 300...? And no, i don't speak French. Studied once upon a time...

Ah well, waiting for an English language one to come through the post now...

Still reading Saiyuki, and will probably go on to Masamune Shirow's Dominion when I've finished.

Wiked, you might try asking in the Lounge area here. I don't know of any sites, but someone there might.
